In women's classes, you can do the disciplines of your choice, Boxing. Kickboxing or Muay Thai
The first goal of boxing is learning and improving the basic techniques such as positioning and balance to achieve better technical striking and a creative defense when facing any possible attack.
Class structure at Académie Frontenac:
Obviously, the classes always start with a complete warm-up. They usually consist of 5 minutes of jump rope followed by another 5 minutes of exercises chosen by the coach.
Then, the coach will show different muay thai techniques and will make sure that the student can apply them.
Usually, the classes end with a work-out consisting of exercises according to the coach's program.

Muay Thaï, also known as Thaï Boxing, is a style of kickboxing. As its name suggests, this art comesfrom Thailand. Commonly called the art of eight members (the feet, hands, elbows, knees), each partis used in the art of combat. It is a discipline that could go into clinching positions and sometimeseven into projections. It consists of a variety of techniques that include powerful strikes andseizures.
Kickboxing is a dynamic and effective sport, because it will use all your body muscles. It consist of the learning of all the possible punches, kicks, dodges and blocks.
